Paleo Pines Maps of Dinosaur Spawns (Veridian Valley, Dapplewood, & Ariacotta Canyon)

Paleo Pines Maps of Dinosaur Spawns – I made a map because this game is confusing.

Paleo Pines Maps of Dinosaur Spawns

At first I made just a Dapplewood map, but then I decided to document Ariacotta Canyon and Veridian Valley as well. I made the Dapplewood map because I kept getting lost and finding dinosaurs I wasn’t looking for, and I thought it was kind of a silly map in hindsight, but now I see it can be useful to others, so I will continue making the maps and info tabs!

I’m pretty sure the 13th Veridian Valley dinosaur is Parasaurolophus, so it will be omitted both for spoiler reasons and because I haven’t gotten that far into the story to confirm it

It’s alright if nobody else finds this useful or think it ruins the fun of discovering new species (although I purposely omitted the friend calls just so the challenge isn’t totally destroyed), I just wasn’t sure where else to put it and maybe others could find it useful for tracking some dinosaurs. I tracked some special spawns as well that I will include as a separate piece and not on the maps. Here ya go.

Veridian Valley Spawn Map

Note: Some missing Jurassos data, but most other data is up to date.

Blurred out Owynn just ’cause.

Maps of Dinosaur Spawns & Info Table [Veridian Valley, Dapplewood, & Ariacotta Canyon]

There is a 13th dinosaur spawn in Veridian Valley, but it is story related and has been omitted for now .

Extra Veridian Spawns [that I know of]

7* Gallimimus only spawns here in Cretumnus and its normal spawn area is not used during the season, it does not spawn during Storms in Cretumnus, so no Gallimimus will be available in Veridian Valley on those days

10* – Scelidosaurus only spawns here in Jurassos, even before breaking the canyon boulders

Therizinosaurus & Deinocheirus
In the section just before the Desmatosuchus area behind the log. Neither of them appear in Triassea, Therizinosaurus appears in Jurassos, and Deinocheirus appears in Cretumnus [Requires opening Dapplewood]

Ouranosaurus
Appears next to the Coelophysis [Jurassos Only] [Requires opening Dapplewood]

Centrosaurus
Will spawn in place of Gallimimus’ Cretumnus spawn during Triassea [Jurassos pending] [Requires opening Dapplewood]

Dimetrodon & Allosaurus
Will spawn next to the Scelidosaurus in the desert section. Neither appears in Triassea, Allosaurus appears in Jurassos, and Dimetrodon appears in Cretumnus [Requires opening Ariacotta Canyon]

Utahraptor
Will spawn next to the Corythosaurus, they do not appear during Cretumnus [Jurassos pending] [Requires opening Ariacotta Canyon]

Baryonyx
By the small lake to the left of Dapplewood’s entrance where one of the amethyst deposits is [Jurassos Only] [Requires opening Dapplewood]

Oviraptor
On the hill to the right of the desert section. [Triassea, other seasons pending] [Requires opening Dapplewood]

Dapplewood Spawn Map

Note: Some seasonal listings may be incorrect and will be changed later. I opened Dapplewood late and only experienced the brunt of it in Jurassos and Cretumnus, so I don’t know the details of Triassea spawns. Ignore the seasonal listings for the most part until I update this.

Extra Dapplewood Spawns [that I know of]

Coelophysis
Near Granny Agami’s farm, in between the two trees pictured on the map [Cretumnus Only]

Gallimimus
Next to the Kentrosaurus spawn [Cretumnus Only]
I found a mellanistic Gallimimus in this exact spot/the day I realized Gallimimus spawns here, but it is most likely a coincidence. Still, gotta have a ‘lil superstition once in a while

Deinonychus, Troodon, Archaeopteryx & more
Where Deinocheirus normally spawns, Deinocheirus will not appear in Dapplewood if this event occurs [Heavy Rain Only]

Wuerhosaurus & Carnotaurus
In between the Kentrosaurus and Ouranosaurus spawns, Wuerhosaurus appears in Triassea, Carnotaurus appears in Jurassos, and neither appear in Cretumnus [Requires opening Ariacotta Canyon for Carnotaurus]

Pinacosaurus
Near the Triassea Wuerhosaurus spawn on a cliff only accessible by breaking boulders [Requires opening Ariacotta Canyon] [Season data pending]

Megalosaurus replaces the Archaeopteryx spawn in Triassea during the day.

The westernmost Troodon spawn in the pit will be partially flooded in Triassea and inaccessible. I believe it can also flood spontaneously or get even more full during Heavy Rain and Storms. No dinosaurs will appear under such conditions.

Ariacotta Spawn Map

Note: Some seasonal listings may be incorrect and will be changed later. I have only experienced Cretumnus and Triassea in Ariacotta Canyon, so I don’t know the details of Jurassos spawns. Ignore the seasonal listings for the most part until I update this.

The active hours may also be incorrect, but so far I have seen all featured dinosaurs at all times.

Blurred over NPCs on the map for spoilers and because they’re in the way.

Maps of Dinosaur Spawns & Info Table [Veridian Valley, Dapplewood, & Ariacotta Canyon]

Extra Ariacotta Spawns [that I know of]

Tyrannosaurus Rex & Styracosaurus
In the valley nearing the eastern Allosaurus spawn, south of town. Tyrannosaurus Rex is replaced by Styracosaurus in Triassea [Jurassos pending]

Velociraptor Extra
A pack of Velociraptors will spawn near the Basalt vein overlooking the eastern Allosaurus spawn [Rainy Weather & Light Breeze Only]

Postosuchus
Next to the first Utahraptor spawn you will find in the dividing paths leading to the dunes. They do not appear in Triassea [Jurassos pending]
